The Knights Templar in History
The Knights Templar of Dallas Commandery No. 6 are part of a long and storied past. By way of emulation, they are connected spiritually and morally to the medieval Poor Knights of Christ, who served during the Crusades. As a Masonic organization, they are a constituent body of the Grand Commandery of Texas and through it are connected to all Masons worldwide. In order to understand the meaning of Templary for our conclave, therefore, one must understand both the medieval Templars and modern Masonic Templary.
