Golden Chalice

The Golden Chalice is presented to commanderies by the Templar Eye Foundation of the Grand Encampment of the U.S.A. for a single donation $10,000 or more.

J. C. Kidd Award

The J. C. Kidd Award is presented by the Grand Commandery of Texas to the commandery in each district that receives the highest grade in asylum tactics in each district at the annual inspection.

Fred M. Gilbough Award

The Fred M. Gilbough Award is presented annually by the Grand Commandery to the constituent commandery having the highest grade in the asylum ritual in each Templar district at the annual inspection.

Dale Miller Award

The Dale Miller Award is presented by the Grand Commandery of Texas to the commandery in each district that demonstrates the most impressive and positive performance in conferring the Order of Temple at the annual inspection.

Cross and Crown Award

The Cross and Crown Award is presented by the Grand Commandery of Texas to constituent commanderies who are outstanding in their communities. The award is based upon exemplary participation in fifty different requirements, which are divided into four categories of personal, external, civic and community, and public relations involvement. Recipients of this award have demonstrated themselves to be pacesetters, leading Commanderies in the state who are setting examples for others to follow.
The award originated in 1994.

Patriotic and Civic Award

The Patriotic and Civic Award is given to the commandery in each district that receives the highest grade in fulfillment of the requirements of the Grand Commandery of Texas for patriotic and civic services.

The Award of Merit is given by the Grand Commandery of Texas to constituent commanderies that receive a grade of excellent in asylum tactics and observe the three Templar Holy Days of Christmas, Easter, and Ascension.
